Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
